The biggest news for the 2020 model year was the introduction of the High-Performance model, which replaced the outgoing standard EcoBoost model. Basically, it was the same car but with a few critical and well-thought modifications. The 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder remained, but now it used a bigger 63 mm, twin-scroll turbocharger, resulting in 236 kW (330 hp) and 448 Nm. High Performance can be recognized from the outside by new grille design, colour-coded rear spoiler, quad exhaust, badges, and bonnet with cooling vents.
The performance was slightly upgraded, and sprint from 0 to 100 km/h took just over 5 seconds (automatic) while top speed was still electronically limited to 240 km/h. Even though the 2020 Mustang High Performance was significantly upgraded, the base price wasn't that high, and the entry-level model could be yours for just under $51,000. Factory options included Recaro seats, Magneride suspension and spoiler.
